When can I arrive?
We completely understand you are excited to arrive at our Wilderness Village. Our Guest Services team would like to remind you that masks are mandatory inside, but it doesn’t include your cabin. They would also like to remind you, that guests need to check in via the TAS Health app on arrival at guest services and at the Hellyer’s restaurant. Please ask a staff member if you need to manually sign in.
our new arrival time is 2:30 pm.
It is our best intention to have all cabins ready for arrivals after 2:30 pm however this, as most in this covid impacted world is not guaranteed. Our team promise to do their best.
How's your Wi Fi ?
We wanted to mention the Wi-Fi at Cradle Mountain Wilderness Village is limited to our Guest lounge and reception areas. (Subject to outages in extreme weather conditions)
Mobile coverage is traditionally very good if your mobile career is Telstra, Optus and Boost Mobile, Others like Vodaphone don't receive service in our region.
If you want internet access in your rooms, Hot spotting from your own devise and service provider is your option.
Due to the remote location of our Chalets located across our 40 plus acre property, the Wi-Fi does not reach our Chalets.
When are payments taken?
Due to the ever-changing COVID-19 border restrictions, we have made our policy to process payments on departure, so please feel confident, no deposits are taken, and our cancellation policy is full payment with 72 hours or less notice. But if you can provide evidence a cancellation is due to COVID-19 and or border restrictions we may waiver the min 72-hour notice.
If you have booked with a third-party operator it is our recommendation that you continue to contact your third-party operator in regards to a refund, alteration and hopefully not a cancellation.
If you have booked directly with us please search your confirmation email we sent you, drop us a line with your information, and details of potential dates to change to and our office staff will help process your request.
Is there Snow there?
The Cradle Mountain region and our Wilderness Village is a truly sensational location. Our Guests have the opportunity to connect with nature, and the Northern Tasmanian wilderness.
It is beautiful 365 days, and to answer your question we do get snow, a quick look at our social media pages will show the winter wonderland we can get at times.
Unfortunately, as we don't control the weather we can’t book snow for your stay.
We consider snow just a bonus to a visit to Cradle Mountain Wilderness Village, and our region.
